Function Fitouts Awarded Silver in Design for Planet Smoothie Stores
In the heart of Melbourne, there’s a new smoothie experience taking root, and it’s one that has won us accolades. Function Fitouts is thrilled to announce that our partnership with Planet Smoothie has not only brought a fresh twist to smoothie kiosk design in Australia but has also fetched us the Silver Award in the interior design category.
From our first tryst with Planet Smoothie at Southland Shopping Center to our recent ventures in Geelong and Woodgrove, our association has grown stronger and more creative. Each project represented a unique set of challenges and a chance to innovate while staying true to the brand’s identity.
What sets our designs apart? We’ve embraced sustainability, using recycled materials to ensure longevity, reducing replacements and environmental footprints. The modular kiosk design, standardized for every location, reflects both the vibrant hues of Planet Smoothie’s brand and the unique design language of its American outlets. Our groundbreaking 2.6m illuminated feature ring stands as a testament to our forward-thinking and innovation.
But it isn’t just about aesthetics. At Function Fitouts, we believe in creating functional spaces that resonate with the brand’s essence and offer an unparalleled customer experience. Our transition of Planet Smoothie from its traditional American store format to a modern, food-centric kiosk tailored for the Australian audience is a shining example of our adaptability and design prowess.
With three successful collaborations already under our belt, we’re gearing up for more. We’re on board with Planet Smoothie’s expansion plans and are excitedly prepping to deliver even more locations, ensuring that each one stands as a benchmark in design, functionality, and customer experience.

I have been using Function Fitouts for awhile now. Initially they build my Telstra Stores for me and I now use them to build our Planet Smoothie Kiosks. Nothing is ever too hard for them and their entire crew are fun guys who love what they do.
