Function Fitouts is proud to announce their project, Grenke – Future Office Fitout, has been declared the winner of the 2023 Builders Design Awards, as presented by Design Matters National for the category ‘Non-Residential Interior’
Sporting a modern/futuristic office vibe, it is clear that when Felicity & Marc Bernstein-Hussman from Melbourne Design Studios started to pen the design for Grenke’s Office with the client, they wanted their space to reflect a clean and modern aesthetic, whilst creating an environment where employees would enthusiastically come into the office, rather than work from home – something we have all become so accustomed to, post-Covid-19.
By combining a clean, open-plan office, infused with indoor plants, modern custom-made office furniture, and private huddle rooms, with an open kitchen and lounge area visitors and employees couldn’t feel more at home. To match the eccentricities and youthful vision of this collaborative team, this office is kitted out with both a working foosball table and a centerpiece custom-built table tennis table, to match the rest of the joinery provided by Function Fitouts.
Not all things are play though, at this office – which is no surprise as Grenke means business, with its fully kitted out Audio Visual system in their boardroom – an area topped off with a feature moss green wall to reflect the entrance to this tastefully set out interior.
The professional aesthetic combined with a design centered around its people is clearly working for Grenke, as they have themselves have recently been certified and awarded as Top Employer Germany, as proof of their outstanding work in Human Relations.
Function Fitouts were chosen for this project, based on their past portfolio and commitment to working within the budget and timeframes awarded to this project. Constantly looking for ways to improve manufacturing costs, processes, and sustainability, we chose to use recycled materials to build the custom joinery for this project. Due to this decision, Grenke has also been awarded a commendation for “Use of Recycled Materials” in the same category (Non-Residential Interior).
